Download Ledger Live, the companion app for desktop or mobile. It guides you through device setup, portfolio management, and securely accessing supported services.
Write down your recovery phrase
Your device will generate a unique 24-word recovery phrase. Record it on the recovery sheet and keep it somewhere private and offline. Never share it with anyone.
Add accounts and get started
Use Ledger Live to add accounts for the assets you want to manage. Your keys stay on your device; you review and approve transactions directly on its trusted screen.

is yours alone.
Your recovery phrase is the master backup to your wallet. Anyone who gets it may be able to access your assets, so never type it into a website, share it in a message, or enter it into an app. Ledger will never ask you for it.
Write each word in the correct order on paper and store it somewhere private and secure, away from your device. Be cautious of unsolicited messages, fake support accounts, and links that create urgency. If something feels unexpected, pause and verify it through Ledger’s official channels before proceeding.
